Into the Jungle, A Limited Edition Photography Book
Production Times
Ready to ship items will usually be sent out within 3-5 business days. Friday is typically the day that I package everything up and ship them out.
In stock Ceramic items are ready to ship UNLESS the title says "PRE-ORDER". Count on pre-order ceramics to take up to 4-8 weeks as I need to run a full kiln load and while I'm typically always working on filling up the kiln, ceramics still require quite a bit of time including drying time, 2 kiln firings as well as waiting for the kiln to cool, and glazing time.
Made to order Fiber Art items and Journals typically take between 1-2 weeks to create, depending on my current workload. Some items are a little more time consuming and/or finicky to get right and those items will likely take longer.
If you need something quickly just send me a message, preferably before placing your order. Sometimes I am able to accommodate last minute custom orders and sometimes things are crazy around here! Just contact me and I will do my absolute best to accommodate you.
This artist book was a limited edition series I bound by hand for my BFA thesis in 2010. The project was about consumerism and feminism -- there are 24 3x4.5" original color photos all printed on a matte archival photo paper, and the binding is concertina/accordion. The entire book is 30 pages of academia paper and measures 6x6 inches. A limited edition of 20. My artist statement is on the final page.
Artist Statement:
The project is meant to touch on being a feminist, and just generally being a woman, in a consumer society, where the illusion of choice masks being put into a stereotype and having our roles as well as our hopes, concerns, and dreams defined by the ridiculous products and ideals we, both literally and figuratively, buy into. Styles present from toys to clothing for all ages represents a disconnect between growing up and reality: for young girls, these styles seem too old, for women, too young, and all are centered around the fantasy of being consumed and objectified by the male gaze.
